SHORT WALKS FROM THE FLAT
CAMBUSKENNETH ABBEY - 15 MINS. (wear wellies or other suitable footwear for walking across muddy fields)

To access the abbey ruins when the gate is locked, Cross the footbridge and walk to the end of South Road. Turn left into Ladysneuk Road and look for a footpath sign and an open gate into the fields on the right. Go through the gate and turn immediately right to walk through the stubble behind the houses. There's an open gate into the abbey grounds, and from there you can cross to the far side and go through the gate into the fields to walk to the river.
